Albemarle County: Residential fire causes $75K in damage, displaces family

A house fire in the garage and laundry room area of a home on the 3300 block of Martins King Road in Albemarle County caused $75,000 in damage.

The fire was reported at 6:57 p.m. Saturday, according to Albemarle County Fire Rescue.

The root cause of the accidental fire is being investigated by the Albemarle County Fire Marshals Office. 

The fire displaced two adults and three dogs. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
