Albemarle County Police arrest man in November 2019 shooting

The Albemarle County Police Department have arrested 27-year-old Emerson Deras Castro, of Charlottesville, in connection with a Nov. 7 shooting at 2234 Commonwealth Drive in Albemarle County that left two people injured.

The Albemarle County Police have charged Castro with two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and a firearm-possession offense.

Castro is currently being held at the Albemarle County Regional Jail without bond.
