Authorities are saying a residential structure blaze in Albemarle County was the result of an accidental cooking fire.

No injuries were reported on the 12:15 p.m. Wednesday fire in the 1500 block of Overlook Drive, according to Albemarle County Fire Rescue.

The first fire suppression apparatus arrived on the scene at approximately 12:25 pm to discover smoke showing from the single-family residence.

The building was occupied by one adult and three dogs at the time of the fire, all of whom self-evacuated the home.

The displaced resident is being assisted by family.
