The segment for tonight’s show and the match between Styles and Magnus that will air next week were taped in December.

That is, before contract negotiations between Styles and TNA broke down, and Styles, at least for now, signed for dates with Ring of Honor, beginning this weekend with an ROH TV taping in Nashville.

Styles, for now, is done with TNA. Tonight’s special guest appearance on Impact doesn’t change that.
