For the fourth season, Augusta Free Press LLC is a major part of the day-to-day operations of the Waynesboro Generals team in the Valley Baseball League.
AFP Vice President Crystal Graham is the team’s marketing director, responsible for recruiting sponsors to help fund operations for the summer team. AFP President Chris Graham is the play-by-play man on the team’s webcasts of home games available through the WaynesboroGenerals.net website and the web editor responsible for game recaps, production of Generals TV interviews with players and other team news.
Chris Graham also serves on the board of directors of Waynesboro Amateur Athletics, the 501c(3) nonprofit that runs the Generals.
“We feel fortunate to be a part of an organization that has such a long history in Waynesboro,” said Crystal Graham, noting the team’s presence in Waynesboro that dates back to 1923.
“And it’s a lot of fun for us. A lot of work, with a game almost every night of the week all summer long, but a lot of fun,” said Chris Graham, who you can see at home games set up at an announce table directly behind home plate calling the action from Generals’ games.
