Adam Sandler does national tours, which is news to me, as is this, that his latest tour, titled the “You’re My Best Friend Tour,” is coming to Charlottesville in September.

My rule with these kinds of things is, usually, even if I don’t care much for the act in question, if it’s a big name, gotta go.

But with Adam Sandler, I dunno.

The date for the show at the John Paul Jones Arena is Friday, Sept. 12.

I’m actually impressed that they included JPJ on this one.

Tickets are going on presale today at noon, with the general on-sale beginning at noon on Friday, at Ticketmaster.com.

The presser from the Sandler PR folks tells us that Sandler did tours in 2022 and 2023 that were both fully sold-out, which, good for him.

This one starts on Sept. 5 and will take Sandler to 30 cities.

The presser tells us that “highly anticipated ‘Happy Gilmore 2’” will be streaming on Netflix on July 25.

I like stupid comedy as much as anybody, but Adam Sandler in 2025 still acting like he’s 14 years old in 1980?
