A $4.99 pizza buffet worth writing about

Word got back to my wife, Crystal, that the lunch buffet at Four Star Pizza on Poplar Avenue in Waynesboro that had been discontinued a year or two ago was back.

The report came to us on Tuesday. A day later, we were there for lunch.

The price: $4.99, including a fountain drink; $10.98 including tax for lunch for two.

The availability of pizzas: good. We never had to wait for new pizza, and the selection was good, ranging from the basic cheese to more exotic vegetable and barbecue pizzas.

A plus: The buffet includes a salad bar. The missus was happy with that, considering the decision of Pizza Hut to drop the salad bar from its buffet a few months back.

Final Grade: A solid A. I filled up on pizza and cinammon sticks for $4.99 plus tax, and was in and out of there in a half-hour. Can’t beat that.
