Nash: X-Pac still on for Night of the Superstars

Sean “X-Pac” Waltman is home recovering from emergency surgery after suffering a near-fatal injury on a failed move in a match in Minnesota over the weekend. Close friend Kevin Nash, who will team with X-Pac as The Kliq take on The Rock ‘n Roll Express in the main event at the April 13 Night of the Superstars, confirmed to TopRopeProWrestling.com last night by text that Waltman will be able to wrestle in the match.

It’s a miracle that Waltman is even alive after what happened. Watching a replay of the video, it didn’t appear at first that Waltman was even injured after the missed BroncoBuster, though Waltman did seem to notice that something was wrong as he continued and finished the match.

According to TMZ, Waltman went to an afterparty for the event, which featured the retirement match of former ECW and TNA superstar Jerry Lynn, before returning to his hotel and then deciding to call 911 upon noticing that he was still bleeding.

“We’re just glad to hear that Sean is OK after this horrific injury,” said Top Rope General Manager Marvin Ward. “Whether or not Sean was going to be able to participate in Night of the Superstars was secondary to his health and well-being. Just glad to hear that he’s OK, and him being able to come to Night of the Superstars and wrestle in the main event is icing on the cake.”
