UVA basketball #2 in AP, USA Today polls

uva basketballUVA is ranked second in both the Associated Press and USA Today coaches polls out on Monday.

The Cavs (27-1, 15-1 ACC) held their #2 ranking in the AP poll, and climbed a spot from three in the coaches poll after last week’s #2 in that poll, Gonzaga, lost on Saturday to unranked BYU.

The ‘Zags dropped to seventh in both polls following the loss.

Duke (26-3, 13-3 ACC) rose to third in both polls. Villanova is fourth in both, with Arizona fifth in the AP poll, and Wisconsin fifth in the coaches poll, and those two switching spots for sixth in the respective polls.
