Playing the game: UVA-Duke, Super Bowl, Virginia General Assembly

Chris Graham

radioIt’s Super Bowl Weekend, and #2 UVA hosts #4 Duke on Saturday. But those aren’t the only games going on these days. The Virginia General Assembly is playing like a sort of political game with the 2015 legislative elections hanging over the winter session in Richmond.

Augusta Free Press editor Chris Graham joins host Jim Bresnahan on WREL-1450AM in Lexington, Va., to update listeners on the goings-on in Richmond. Very little of substance seems to be getting past the committee and subcommittee level, and Chris speculates as to why that is, pointing to the tight race for control of the State Senate as a primary driver.

Then the attention turns to sports. Chris offers his quick analysis of the Super Bowl, then goes into detail about the big weekend in Charlottesville, with ESPN College GameDay in town. It’s the biggest basketball game on Grounds in more than 30 years. Can the Cavs get the big win?
