Chris Graham

daniel bryanWWE.com is reporting that Daniel Bryan underwent successful surgery to repair a lingering neck injury on Thursday.

Bryan, the reigning WWE champion, is expected to be released from the hospital today or on Saturday. His return is uncertain at this point, but talk inside WWE is that he is expected to be able to return by SummerSlam in August.

A normal timetable for recovery from the surgical procedure that was done on Bryan, known as a ervical foraminotomy, which is done to decompress a nerve root, is two to three months.
