Maryland pulled away in the 2nd half to defeat Virginia Tech 64-47 at home on Tuesday night. Jake Layman led Maryland with 13 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Dez Wells added 11 points and 4 assists in the win. Joey Van Zegeren had 14 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.
