vmi_logoVMI football will commence 2013 August camp workouts on Monday, August 5.  The practice schedule for the Keydets leading up to the August 31 opener at Richmond has now been made available to the public.

Monday’s 4:30 pm team workout in helmets will begin a series of 23 practices that will end on August 23 There will then be at least one practice per day through the fourth Friday in August before traditional game week preparation begins on Monday, August 26.

Scrimmages are slated at Foster Stadium on Thursday, August 15, and Thursday, August 22.

A full practice schedule appears below. Fans should note that all times are subject to change, and that all practices will take place on Fiorini ‘64 Field (Turf Field behind Foster Stadium) unless otherwise noted.

  • Monday, August 5 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday  August  6 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 7 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 8 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, August  9 – 4:30 p.m. (full pads)
  • Saturday, August 10 (full pads) – 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 11 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday, August 12 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Monday, August 12 – 4:30 p.m. (2nd half on Foster Stadium Field)
  • Tuesday, August 13 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 14 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, August 14 – 4:30 p.m. (2nd half on Foster Stadium Field)
  • Thursday, August 15 – 4:30 p.m. (scrimmage-Foster Stadium)
  • Friday, August 16 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Friday, August 16 – 4:30 p.m.(2nd half Foster Stadium Field)
  • Saturday, August 17 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, August 18 – 7:50 a.m.
  • Monday, August 19 – 9:10 a.m.
  • Monday, August 19 – 3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 20 – 9:00 a.m.
