Albemarle County Parks & Recreation announced on Saturday that Darden Towe Park will need to be closed “for the immediate future” due to damage from the line of dangerous storms that rolled through the area on Friday.
Crews are on site working to clear downed trees and debris, per a release.
The closure is necessary to protect the safety of visitors and staff while cleanup and assessment efforts are under way, the release said.
