Charlottesville: Three people wounded in early-morning shooting on 5th Street

Charlottesville Police have identified a suspect in an early-morning shooting on 5th Street Southwest in which three people were wounded.

The suspect in the 1:37 a.m. Thursday shooting in the 1100 block of 5th Street Southwest has been identified as 20-year-old Nysoun Gardner.

A release from the PD tells us that the incident began as an altercation in the parking area on the west side of the building before shots were fired from within a vehicle.

Officers located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 74-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 17-year-old juvenile male.

All three victims are currently in stable condition.
