Kuran Iverson: Memphis-bound

Contributors

Kuran Iverson can fill a stat sheet out across the board. Memphis basketball fans look forward to seeing him fill out stat sheets as a Tiger.

“It’s a great day. Just signing the papers and getting that out of the way, it’s a great feeling,” said Iverson, a 6’10” small forward who is a consensus top-32 recruit overall and is considered one of the top five or six small forwards in the Class of 2013.

As a junior at Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, Conn.), Iverson averaged 17.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.4 blocks, 1.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Iverson will head to Memphis with high expectations – both personally and team-wise. The Tigers are perennial national-title contenders, and Iverson is the top recruit in a loaded class.
