Staunton Senior Center busy and crowded on Nov. 9

Chris Graham

Staunton Senior Center was busting at the seams on Nov. 9 as it hosted Waynesboro Senior Center, Grace Christian School, and Spiritheart Collective.

Twenty-two fourth graders arrived on the scene as seniors were finishing lunch and the music program was about to begin. All told, there were about 75 members, students, staff, and volunteers in the Center.

Spiritheart Collective, formerly known as Three Guys with Notes, has grown to 14 members; six were present to lead the group in making plenty of loud, rhythmic music! As they always do, members of the group passed out percussion instruments to anyone in the audience who wanted them; soon the whole activity room was rocking with wonderful music!

Several of the group’s musicians sang and played original songs which the audience could join in singing. After an hour it was time for the students to return to school and members to go home, so all of the equipment was quickly packed away for another time.

Thanks to Spiritheart Collective for another memorable afternoon at SSC!
