Blue Ridge FC will host Lynchburg FC for its first home match of the 2026 United Premier Soccer League season on Saturday.

The home pitch is the Horizon’s Edge Sports Campus in Harrisonburg.

The match begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Blue Ridge FC returns to the UPSL, a semi-pro league founded in 2011 in Southern California, competing on the fourth tier of the U.S. Soccer pyramid, for the third year in a row, and is competing in both the spring and fall seasons for the first time.

Players who have featured on UPSL teams have gone on to play professionally in the United States and Europe.

Blue Ridge FC is a member of the UPSL Virginia South Conference, which includes teams from Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Norfolk and Richmond.

The league features collegiate players alongside local talent.

This year’s Blue Ridge FC squad features 2025 All-ODAC first-team member Riley Queen from Bridgewater College, and Levi Buckwalter, who recently returned from international duty with the Guam Men’s National Team.

Lynchburg FC won the spring 2025 UPSL DMV conference with a 9-1-0 record on its way to reaching the national round of 16, falling to New York Braveheart SC.

Despite Hill City FC – a USL League 2 club – launching this year in Lynchburg, Lynchburg FC returns with a strong roster featuring Liberty University and University of Lynchburg players.

They are preseason favorites to once again return to the national stage.
