Fishburne Military School small forward Kuran Iverson has made his college choice: Memphis.

Iverson, the #27 prospect in the ESPN 100, and cousin of Allen Iverson, chose the Tigers over Connecticut and Florida.

Iverson is Memphis coach Josh Pastner’s third ESPN 100 commit. His commitment pushes the program to third in the Class of 2013 national rankings.

According to coach Ed Huckaby, Iverson chose Memphis because of its academic support system and because the program will prepare him to be a small forward in the NBA.

“Josh’s personality fits Kuran’s personality, and Memphis assistant coach Aki Collins did a tremendous job” in recruiting Iverson, Huckaby said.

According to ESPN recruiting analyst Reggie Rankin, Iverson is one of the most talented and versatile players in the class of 2013.

“His size, length, skills and feel for the game allow him to play and defend multiple positions. Simply put, Iverson has an excellent offensive skill package and feel for the game,” Rankin said.
