Kymora Johnson went off, scoring 41 points, hitting a program-record 10 threes, to key Virginia to an 88-53 win over Winthrop on Saturday at JPJ.

Somebody was getting extra reps in the gym during the exam break.

Johnson was coming off a 3-of-15 shooting performance in the 76-50 win over Howard before finals.

On Saturday, Johnson was 15-of-20 from the floor and 10-of-13 from three.

The 40-plus-point day was the second in UVA program history – Mimi McKinney had 48 in a 105-100 3OT win at North Carolina on Jan. 15, 1998.

Paris Clark had 11 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds for the ‘Hoos (9-3, NET: 31).
