Arnold, 15, a rising sophomore at Spotswood High School, finished the 5K course in Welland, Ontario, in 1:00:39.9, 34.3 seconds off the winning time of Michelle Weber of Russia.

Arnold was one of two swimmers representing Team USA in the 14- to 16-year-old girls division.

More than 130 male and female swimmers from 31 countries took part in the event.
