ACC Football: Week 8 slate begins with rare Friday doubleheader

Second-ranked Miami hosts Louisville on Friday night, and the Saturday noon slot has #12 Georgia Tech facing Duke, in a pair of games that will help us get a handle on the Road to Charlotte.

The ACC Football weekend gets started with a rare Friday double-dip – following Miami-Louisville, UNC, which is still led by Bill Belichick, faces Cal out west in a 10:30 p.m. ET kick.

Those late kicks for East Coast teams: patently unfair.

I’m also liking SMU-Clemson in the 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday window, and FSU-Stanford at 10:30 p.m. ET Saturday night.

If the ‘Noles make it four losses in a row, they might just leave Mike Norvell on the tarmac.
