VDOT is conducting an online survey regarding Route 259 between Route 11 in Rockingham County and Broadway Avenue in the Town of Broadway.

The survey is online through Sept. 23 at this link: publicinput.com/route259alts.

The Route 259 study team is evaluating transportation needs and has developed recommendations to enhance safety and mobility on this critical corridor.

The brief survey requests input on these potential solutions.

This study is funded through VDOT’s Strategically Targeted and Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) program.

STARS is a collaborative effort between VDOT, Rockingham County and the Town of Broadway.

VDOT serves as the project manager for the study, with ATCS of Herndon as a consulting partner for developing the study, supporting analysis and improvement concepts.

Final study recommendations will be considered by the county and town for advancement through state or federal transportation funding programs.

More information is available on VDOT’s Route 259 Study web page.
