Franklin County: 29-year-old dead in fatal single-vehicle crash on Sunday

A 29-year-old Virginia man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Franklin County early Sunday morning.

Tyler Austin Hale-Camp, 29, of Hardy, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash occurred at 1:26 a.m. on Booker T. Washington Highway, just north of Harmony School Road, according to a report from Virginia State Police.

A 2012 Honda Accord was traveling north on Booker T. Washington Highway, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, according to VSP.

The crash remains under investigation.
