The 2009 edition of U.S. News and World’s Reports “America’s Best Graduate Schools” includes three graduate programs at James Madison University.

The audiology program at JMU is ranked 19th in a grouping of 72 grad programs. The speech-language program at Madison is ranked 38th out of 230 programs included in the numbers. The master of fine arts program is ranked 134th out of 220 programs in the U.S.

The rankings in the audiology and speech-language categories were based on the results of peer assessment surveys completed by deans, other administrators and/or faculty at accredited degree programs or schools in each discipline. The MFA program rankings were based on the results of a peer assessment survey completed by art school deans and other top art school academics.
