A Hickory, N.C., woman is dead from injuries in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County last week.

Debra Powell Hall, 67, of Hickory, N.C., died at the scene of the Sept. 20 crash at the 160.7 mile marker in Botetourt County, according to a report from Virginia State Police.

Hall was a passenger in a 2018 Honda CR-V driven by Dickie Donald Hall, 75, also of Hickory, N.C., around 5:30 p.m. the afternoon of Sept. 20.

The Halls were heading south on Interstate 81 when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, crossed into the median into the path of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

Dickie Hall, the 19-year-old driver of the Jeep and a 19-year-old passenger in the Jeep were all transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries received in the crash.
