Are you looking to take your floral design to the next level? Court Square Theater is hosting an ACT ONE master class titled “Floral Design and Arrangement with Abby Chick” starting later this month.

The class focuses on the secrets of composition, color harmony and using the magic of blooms to create stunning arrangements that captivate the senses and elevate any space.

Abby Chick is a floral designer, educator and owner of Blakemore’s Flowers in Harrisonburg. What started as a part-time job at age 19 has turned into her lifelong career and passion. When it comes to florals, Chick is most inspired by practical and efficient business management, profitable sustainability practices and compassionate approaches to sympathy design.

The class meets on Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

All materials are provided. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Master classes are offered at no charge to the public due to support from the Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County’s Earlyann J. Miller Fund for the Arts.

Additional master classes will be “Intro to Dance and Movement with Eve Stanley” in September, and “Basics of Painting with Kaydee Pickle” in October.

Court Square Theater is located at 41-F Court Square in Harrisonburg.

More information is available at courtsquaretheater.org/master-class-series.
