The Valley community is invited to the Shenandoah National Park this weekend to Save the Meadow.

Activities begin at the Byrd Visitor Center auditorium at Big Meadows at 9 a.m. Saturday and 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The weekend includes presentations on control activities aimed at invasive species in the park followed by opportunities to volunteer to get out in the field and put what is learned into action.

Free park admission is offered to those who attend the event by contacting the invasive plant control volunteer leader in advance at 540.999.3492.
