Ryan Lindemuth (2-3, rbi) added a sacrifice fly in the second. Stephen Arcure (2-4) doubled and later scored via a wild pitch in the fourth. In the fifth, Jonathan Slattery (4-5, 2 rbi) provided a run-scoring single that scored Lindemuth who had doubled. Ryan Brown (0-1) was hit-by-a-pitch, stole a base, and crossed home plate courtesy a throwing error by the visitors.

Longwood finally got on the scoreboard with a run in the seventh as Jones (2-3) reached on a one-out single, advanced to second on a grounder, and scored on an RBI single by Lacy (1-3, rbi). The Tribe added a final run in the eighth when Slattery added a run-scoring double for the hosts.
