Sandra Stuart, co-chair of the Watershed Committee of Rockbridge Area Conservation Council (RACC) will inform the audience about ongoing local citizen water monitoring programs and how the public can become involved in these efforts.

Tuesday, October 15, 5:30 – 7 pm: Erin Ling, VA Tech Senior Cooperative Extension associate and coordinator of the Virginia Household Water Quality program, will describe the state of well and groundwater in Rockbridge. Catherine Harbor, MD, will explain the health risks for humans exposed to contaminated water.

Tuesday, November 19, 530 – 7 pm: Joel Salatin, Polyface Farms, will describe his success as a farmer using low-cost practices to protect and maintain clean water sources.
