McEachin announces grant for preventative healthcare, services

AFP

Donald McEachinCongressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced a grant award of $3,421,225.00 from the CDC to the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) to support preventive health and health services through September 2019.

“This is an incredibly valuable grant award because, as we all know, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, said Congressman McEachin. “Resources and efforts put into keeping folks healthy and preventing dangerous and debilitating disease is a win for everyone. In the long run, not only do people feel better, but the health care system is less overwhelmed, and health care is less costly.”
