Collegiate Baseball recognizes VMI baseball recruiting

Chris Graham

For the second straight season, the VMI baseball program has been honored as bringing in one of the nation’s top recruiting classes, in rankings released by Collegiate Baseball on Thursday.

In their 27th annual recruiting rankings, Collegiate Baseball included VMI in their listing of Other Top Recruiting Classes, following their rankings of the nation’s top 40 classes. The Keydets were one of two Big South programs honored on the list, as Liberty was also included among the Others list.

“It’s great for our program to receive recognition on a national scale for this recruiting class,” said VMI head coach Marlin Ikenberry. “It says a lot about our program to be recognized for a second year in a row. We are very excited about these 14 guys, and feel confident that if they continue working hard, that this can be one of the best classes to join our program.”
