The Skyline Drug Task Force arrested several individuals Thursday night on narcotic and firearms charges after a raid at a property on the border between Augusta County and Waynesboro.
The raid at the 11-acre property was a culmination of an ongoing narcotics investigation and involved over 50 law enforcement officers.
At approximately 10 p.m Thursday, members of the task force, aided by SWAT teams from Waynesboro, Staunton, Augusta County and Virginia State Police, converged on the property located at 92 Briar Rose Lane, Waynesboro. Inside a barn located on the property, personnel found several individuals along with a meth lab, stash of heroin, three firearms and other contraband associated with drug distribution.
The Virginia State Police Clandestine Lab Team was summoned to dismantle the one pot cook operation.
One individual, James Mangrum Terrell, 39 years old of no fixed address, fled into a wooded area nearby. A search of the area using K-9 teams and a Virginia State Police helicopter was unsuccessful. Terrell has been wanted by the Waynesboro Police Department for misdemeanor domestic assault since 2014 and now faces additional charges connected with the narcotics investigation. He is considered desperate but there is no indication he is presently armed.
Three other individuals were arrested at the scene:
- Heath Wayne Riggleman, 32 years old of the residence, was arrested for
- Possession of Schedule I or II Drug with the Intent to Distribute
- Possession of a Firearm while in the Possession of Schedule I or II Drug
Trevor Edwin Lane, 27 years old of NFA, was arrested for
- Possession of Schedule I or II Drug with the Intent to Distribute
- Manufacture of Methamphetamine
Ashley Nicole Rimel, 29 years old of NFA, was arrested for
- Possession of Schedule I or II Drug
All three individuals are being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail. All law enforcement personnel cleared the scene by 4:30 a.m. today.
