washington nationalsStephen Strasburg was good, Bryan Harvey was not. Strasburg went six innings, Harvey got blistered in a seven-run Washington third, and the Nationals topped the Mets, 9-1, on Thursday.

The Nats (25-16) bested the Mets (22-18) in the first series between the two National League East rivals with the win, taking two of three at Citi Field.

Strasburg (7-0, 2.80 ERA) struck out 10 in six innings, walking one, allowing six hits and one run.

Harvey (3-6, 5.77 ERA) was awful in what has been a horrible spring for the Mets ace, giving up nine runs, six earned, in two and two-thirds innings.

Washington scored seven in the third to break the game open, the big blows being a two-run double by Anthony Rendon, a two-run single by Wilson Ramos and a two-run triple by Ben Revere.

Daniel Murphy hit a two-run homer in the first, his sixth of the season, on a 2-for-4 night that pushed his batting average to .397.

baltimore oriolesA three-run Adam Lind homer chased UVA alum Tyler Wilson and pushed Seattle to a 7-2 win over Baltimore on Thursday.

Wilson (2-2, 3.68 ERA) gave up five runs on six hits in six innings of work for the O’s (24-15).

Nathan Karns (4-1, 3.33 ERA) and four Mariners relievers held the Orioles to six hits.

Mark Trumbo was 2-for-4 at the plate for Baltimore.
