Florida man arrested in Waynesboro on credit-card fraud charges

Quintin WellsA Florida man was arrested on Sunday in Waynesboro on a slew of credit-card fraud charges.

Quintin Wells, 24, from Miami Lakes, Fla., is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail on five counts of credit card forgery and 2 counts of possession of a credit card forgery device. Additional charges are possible.

A Be on the Lookout was broadcast by Augusta County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday  in reference to possible credit card fraud at Dollar General in Verona. At approximately 5:35 p.m.. a vigilant employee of the West Broad Street Waynesboro Dollar General observed the vehicle and a suspect matching the description given by their Verona counterpart and called police.

Officers arrived at the Dollar General on West Broad Street and observed the vehicle and suspect. When officers made contact with the suspect they observed numerous gift cards and a laptop with a credit card skimmer being operated on the passenger seat.

Officers detained the suspect and identified him as Wells. They searched the vehicle and arrested wells on multiple felony violations for credit card forgery etc. Officers also subsequently seized the 2012 Mercedes that Wells was driving.
