DuPont Community Credit Union reported growth in total loans outstanding in the third quarter of 2009. The Waynesboro-headquartered credit union, which operates nine branches in the Central Shenandoah Valley region, reported a 2.2 percent increase in total loans outstanding over the previous quarter and a 13.2 percent increase over third quarter 2008.

Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast at Main Street United Methodist Church in Downtown Waynesboro in conjunction with the opening day of the Virginia Fall Foliage Festival Art Show on Saturday morning. The cost is $5, and tickets are available at the door. The breakfast runs from 7:30-10:30 a.m.
