The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks.

The on-ramp from Route 627 (Reliance Road) onto northbound Interstate 81 at exit 302 (Middletown) in Frederick County is scheduled to be closed for up to two nights – Wednesday, Aug. 21 and Thursday, Aug. 22.

Route 1206 (Orchard Drive) in Crozet will remain closed through Tuesday when the road is paved. The detour will remain in place until the road reopens.

Virginia State Police Trooper C.W. Greene is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Page County that has claimed three lives and injured others. The crash occurred Thursday at 2:08 p.m. on Route 340 at ½ a mile north of Route 700 (Runyon Road).

Due to rain and storms in the forecast, the pipe replacement project on Route 1206 (Orchard Drive) in Crozet has been rescheduled.

Members of the public are invited to attend the first meeting of the Interstate 81 Advisory Committee on Tuesday in Lexington.

Route 1206 (Orchard Drive) in Crozet will be closed from 8 a.m. Aug. 14 until 5 p.m. Aug. 15 while VDOT replaces a pipe.
