VDOT issued an advisory on Wednesday noting that northbound Interstate 81 near Staunton is scheduled to close on Saturday at 8 p.m. through Sunday at 8 a.m. to allow contractors to install overhead signage and set up for a traffic-pattern shift.

A juvenile from Maryland was taken into custody after a pursuit in Northern Virginia that reached speeds in the 130 mph range, and ended in a crash that injured the driver and a Virginia State Police trooper.
