United Way of Greater Augusta received notification that Staunton City was awarded $5,173, to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the Greater Augusta region. The selection for Staunton City to receive $5,173 was made by a National Board through state set-aside funds that is chaired by the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Mark Warner (D-VA) led a group of Senators in introducing bipartisan legislation to ensure volunteer firefighters and other first responders can continue protecting communities that rely on them.
