The Shenandoah National Park Association is sponsoring the 2018 Resource Seminars in Shenandoah National Park. These seminars provide participants with the opportunity to get to know their national park a little more personally.

Native spring wildflowers and children’s creativity will be celebrated during the Shenandoah National Park 32nd annual Wildflower Weekend, May 5-6, 2018.

Shenandoah National Park will celebrate Kids to Parks Day on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Activities will take place at Dickey Ridge Visitor Center (mile 4.6 Skyline Drive), Byrd Visitor Center (mile 51) and the Big Meadows Amphitheater (mile 51).

A new National Park Service report shows that 1.46 million visitors to Shenandoah National Park in 2017 spent $95.8 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 1,204 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $126 million.

The National Park Service announced today that Shenandoah National Park will modify its entrance fees beginning June 1, 2018 to provide additional funding for infrastructure and maintenance needs that enhance the visitor experience.

Shenandoah National Park will host special events to celebrate National Park Week from April 21 to April 29, 2018. Entrance fees will be waived at all National Park Service sites, including Shenandoah, on April 21.

Shenandoah National Park Fire Managers plan to burn 33 acres of Big Meadows sometime between April 16 and May 31, 2018, weather permitting.

Artists are encouraged to apply for the 2018 Artist-in-Residence Program at Shenandoah National Park.

Shenandoah National Park is seeking applicants for its summer youth program. This program provides youth, ages 16-18, a hands-on and educational experience in the conservation of the park’s natural and cultural heritage.
