The off-ramp from northbound Interstate 81 to Route 7 at exit 315 (Winchester/Berryville) in Frederick County is scheduled to close for overnight paving Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16.

The Commonwealth Transportation Board voted today to approve the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 budgets for the Commonwealth Transportation Fund, VDOT and DRPT.

At its May meeting, the Commonwealth Transportation Board took action on the renaming of U.S. Route 1 and Virginia Route 110 within the County of Arlington from “Jefferson Davis Highway” to “Richmond Highway,” as requested by the county.

Paving work requires overnight closures of the Interstate 81 northbound off-ramp at Exit 323 in the White Hall area of Frederick County.

Interstate 81 motorists can expect occasional overnight lane closures and 24/7 shoulder closures starting Monday, May 6, at exit 323 (Route 669 – White Hall) in Frederick County.

The Commonwealth Transportation Board will host nine meetings across the Commonwealth and is inviting the public to share feedback on transportation projects that have been scored and recommended for funding, as well as other transportation initiatives.

VDOT is in the final stages of improving three Interstate 81 interchanges in Augusta County near Staunton. The project extends seven ramp acceleration and deceleration lanes at I-81 exits 220, 221 and 222.

Part of Route 655 (Sulphur Springs Road) in Frederick County will be reconstructed beginning Monday, March 4. During early stages of the project, contractors will erect signs, install erosion-control fencing and remove trees.
