Several localities in the 20th House District have been awarded school safety grants this week by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. The grant is from the School Security Infrastructure Improvement Fund which was created by the General Assembly during the 2013 session.

The Rock the Ribbon Roundball Shootout will take place on Saturday, Jan. 11, at Rockbridge County High School, with proceeds from ticket sales to the seven-game event going to the American Cancer Society. Admission to the VHSL-sanctioned event is $10 for an all-day pass with children 10 and under free.
