Virginia Tech Marching Virginians have a home of their own

Over the last 41 years, Virginia Tech’s highly acclaimed marching band has performed for hundreds of nationally televised football games and parades across the United States. When the Marching Virginians – 330 members strong – return to campus this week, they finally will have a place to call home.

Governor McAuliffe announces agreement to continue operation of the Virginia Commercial Space Authority

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced this week an agreement has been reached between the Commonwealth of Virginia and Orbital ATK regarding repair costs and insurance coverage following the October 2014 launch mishap that damaged portions of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS).

Virginia House Republicans criticize new EPA Regulations

Republicans in the Virginia House of Delegates criticized the proposed Clean Power Plan rule released by President Barack Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency Monday and called on Governor Terry McAuliffe to delay implementation of the rule because of the likelihood of litigation and the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling striking down a previous EPA rule.
