Route 29 closure postponed due to rain: Rescheduled for early Thursday morning

The closure of Route 29 early Tuesday morning has been postponed until early Thursday morning due to the rain that is forecast to continue overnight. The closure is rescheduled for early Thursday morning, weather permitting. The closure will allow Dominion to safely remove an overhead electric power line that runs along Route 29.

Overnight closure schedule at Rio Road project adjusted to extend pile-driving operations

The extended lane closures at the Route 29-Rio Road grade-separated intersection project have been suspended due to an unforeseen conflict with a utility that has prevented pile-driving operations. For the remainder of this week the overnight closures will revert to the previous 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.schedule.
