WTA presents Faithful Men and Waynesboro Union Male Chorus

gatewayTwo of the area’s favorite male singing groups – Faithful Men and Waynesboro Union Male Chorus – will share WTA’s Gateway stage on Saturday, March 23.

According to Tracy Straight, chair of WTA’s programming committee, “We have been hoping to entice these two groups to perform at the Gateway.  They each bring a unique sound in gospel music that truly thrills audiences.  We are so lucky to have them.”   The performance is at 8 pm at 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.  “Seating for the event is limited,” said Straight. “I expected the joint performance to be a sell-out.  I am advising all my friends to get their tickets now.”

The Waynesboro Union Male Chorus is a long established vocal group with deep roots in Waynesboro’s African-American community.  The ensemble of male voices specializing in gospel music and performs widely.  Its annual performance at the Waynesboro Salvation Army’s Christmas Benefit always brings down the house.  This will be their first performance at WTA’s Gateway.

The Faithful Men was formed in 1998 for the love of singing Gospel music.  From the beginning the group has been ecumenical.  The members believe that God is not concerned with the brand name of denomination over your church door, but is more concerned with the brand of Christian in your heart. To date, they have performed at more than 400 events.  This will be their second performance at WTA’s Gateway.

Tickets for the Saturday, March 23 perform are available now.  Advance tickets are $10 and may be purchased online at  www.wtagateway.com or by calling the WTA box office at 540-943-9999.  Remaining tickets will be available for $12 at WTA’s Gateway at 7:30pm on the day of performance.
