The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Central Shenandoah Valley, including Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro.
The watch is in effect for Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon, with the forecast currently calling for ice accumulations of a quarter-inch or more and some snow and sleet accumulation possible.
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s to low 30s throughout the weather event.
