Chris Graham

whsv TV3 staff began their volunteer meal delivery for the Valley Program for Aging Services in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham area on Monday, Jan. 6.

WHSV TV3 vol webA core team of five staff have committed to deliver meals every Monday. The team will take turns each week delivering meals and plan to bring other staff to ride along with them in an effort to recruit more volunteers.

This community outreach is part of the station’s “Good Neighbor Gift.” There are four projects that will be completed in 2014 by station staff, but to kick off the year they chose the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Meals on Wheels as a year-long volunteer commitment.

The team includes Tracey Jones, General Manager, Alyson Bruner, Anchor, Sarah Cassell and Erin Overstreet, Sales, and Ellie Holsopple, Creative Services.

Dawn Shull, Volunteer Coordinator, has worked closely with the TV3 team to coordinate volunteer schedules and complete their training.
