Contributors

Waynesboro Public LibraryThe Waynesboro Public Library will host a workshop on Writing, Editing & Publishing a Book on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. Led by Wayne Drumheller, M.Ed, the workshop will cover self-publishing a book, including the stages of writing, editing, cover design, copyright, pricing, and marketing. The workshop is free, but advance registration is required.

Drumheller is book editor and photojournalist based in Burlington and Brevard, North Carolina. He is the founder of the Creative Book Writers Project and has helped over 130 regional writers and artisans publish their narrative biographies, historical, nonfiction and fiction books since 2010.

Drumheller will be joined by Dabney Elizabeth Farmer, Cara Mayo, and Joe Harman who published their books after participating in a similar workshop held at the library in May.

Librarian Rebecca Lamb says, “This workshop is one of the many ways the library supports budding writers and local authors. We have just started a special collection of books by local authors and also host our annual Author Fest where writers can sell books and promote their books.”

Participants can register for the writing workshop by calling 540-942-6746. The Waynesboro Public Library is located at 600 S. Wayne Avenue in Waynesboro. For additional information, call 540-942-6746 or visit www.WaynesboroPublicLibrary.org.
