Waynesboro Police seek help ID’g shoplifting suspect

The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance from the community to help identify an individual involved in stealing from a city hardware store.

On Monday, December 5, 2016 at approximately 12:50 p.m., the suspect entered Rocking R Ace Hardware, 1000 West Broad Street, and walked around the store appearing to shop.  She spoke with an employee in the store about merchandise she was carrying, then left the store without paying for the item.  The merchandise is valued at just under $100.

The suspect is described as a white female, in her late teens to early twenties, tall with short blonde hair.

If anyone has information as to the location of these individuals, please call the Waynesboro Police Department at (540) 942-6685 to speak with Sgt. Brian Edwards or call Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017. Anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest of the offenders can receive a cash reward.
