Chris Graham

credit card fraudThe Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance from the community to help identify an individual involved in a credit card fraud case from mid-August.

On August 16, 2016  at approximately 4:45 p.m., a suspect, identified as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s with facial hair, used the stolen credit cards of a 48-year-old Crozet woman at Walmart, 116 Lucy Lane.

The credit cards had been stolen several minutes earlier, likely by the same suspect, at a health club in Crozet.  The victim left her purse in her vehicle.  One of the car’s windows was smashed and the purse was taken.

Images from the store’s surveillance system are attached.

If anyone has information as to the identity of this individual, please call the Waynesboro Police Department at (540) 221-0878 to speak with Officer C Kimmell  or call Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017. Anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest of the offender can receive a cash reward.
